Which Anti-Cheat Does Each Game Use? A PC Game Reference Table
A game's anti-cheat entry records a system named in an official publisher source. The table below gives five fields for each PC game: game, named system, scope, publisher source and check date. Sources were reviewed through September 29, 2026, with individual dates shown in the last column. The source list beneath the table links to the publisher pages for policy updates and platform details.

Anti-cheat systems by game
CheatsMatch's game table lists the anti-cheat names or components that publishers documented for these PC-relevant editions as checked on September 29, 2026. It records the source's exact scope. The game directory lets you continue to the site's game comparisons. The Arena Breakout: Infinite game page contains provider-reported comparisons. Its product claims are separate from Morefun's ACE disclosure and do not establish compatibility with ACE.
The table records documented relationships. A studio may use other measures. Dead by Daylight has a July 2026 EAC launch-error article and an August Denuvo Anti-Cheat test FAQ. Behaviour says it will disable Denuvo after the test, so those two dated pages do not support a single unqualified current-system cell. The game remains outside this table until a publisher source resolves the present configuration.
| Game | Publisher-documented anti-cheat | What the source establishes | Official source | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fortnite | Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) | Epic's Windows PC support says EAC is required to play Fortnite. | Epic Games support | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Valorant | Riot Vanguard | Riot discusses Vanguard in its PC anti-cheat update and refers to Valorant. Its optional on-demand mode is a separate configuration. | Riot Games update | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Call of Duty: Warzone | RICOCHET Anti-Cheat | Activision names Warzone among titles protected by RICOCHET. Its PC driver description is specific to PC. | Activision overview | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Apex Legends | Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) | EA's PC error guide refers to EasyAntiCheat files; it does not list every security measure. | EA support | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Counter-Strike 2 | Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) | Valve's Steam listing names VAC for this game. | Valve's Steam listing | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Rust | Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) | Facepunch's Rust PC support refers to EAC files and a client-integrity error. | Facepunch support | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Escape from Tarkov | BattlEye | Battlestate's Steam listing names BattlEye for the listed PC edition. | Battlestate's Steam listing | Sep 29, 2026 |
| Rainbow Six Siege | BattlEye and R6 ShieldGuard | Ubisoft's November 2025 Y10S3 report names both in its enforcement figures. This is a dated report, not a live component audit. | Ubisoft report | Sep 29, 2026 |
| PUBG: Battlegrounds | BattlEye component | PUBG's PC troubleshooting article names a BattlEye service file. That establishes a documented component, not the complete stack. | PUBG support | Sep 29, 2026 |
| ARC Raiders | EAC and Denuvo referenced; other methods | Embark's FAQ mentions both names in a question and says it also uses in-house solutions and partners. It does not provide a complete list. | Embark FAQ | Sep 29, 2026 |
| THE FINALS | Elytra Anti-Cheat | Embark's support article names Elytra for THE FINALS. | Embark support | Sep 29, 2026 |

How we check each game
CheatsMatch checks a game-specific publisher support page, publisher update or developer-controlled store disclosure before putting a named system in the table. A vendor's general “games protected” list can be useful background, but it may not describe the game's current edition, platform or full configuration. Community reports and third-party articles do not establish a row.
Each check date tells you when we reviewed the linked source, not when the developer deployed a component. A support article can describe a particular error or test; a Steam disclosure can describe a listed edition. We use the narrower wording when that is all the publisher has made public. The anti-cheat directory and its Easy Anti-Cheat page explain system names in more detail. The existing provider-evaluation guide explains how CheatsMatch reads seller claims as distinct from publisher evidence.
Why some games name multiple anti-cheat methods
ARC Raiders illustrates why one product name need not describe a game's complete protection. Embark's FAQ discusses EAC and Denuvo, then says its approach also includes internal solutions, external partners and other detection methods. The FAQ does not publish a platform-by-platform inventory. The table therefore records the names it references and the broader caveat together.
Rainbow Six Siege has another kind of combined wording: Ubisoft's Y10S3 report presents enforcement figures under BattlEye and R6 ShieldGuard together. That report establishes what Ubisoft called the effort at that time. It does not mean every player or mode uses an identical set of components today. The ARC Raiders game page has the site's comparison records, with their own evidence labels.
The ARC Raiders anti-cheat and ban guide follows Embark's named systems and policy in detail.

Platform and mode notes
A game's platform note limits its row to the edition the official source describes. A Windows support article about EAC files is evidence for that PC support context; it does not tell us how a console edition works. A Steam store disclosure identifies the anti-cheat named for its listed game edition, without documenting any separate league or community server rules.
Activision identifies Warzone within RICOCHET's protected titles and separately describes a kernel-level driver for PC. Those statements support a Warzone/RICOCHET relationship and a PC driver note. They do not establish how every security measure works on every platform. The Valve Anti-Cheat guide explains VAC as a named system.
When a publisher does not name a system
An unnamed system means our checked official source does not establish a specific product name. It does not mean the game has no anti-cheat. If a publisher describes monitoring, bans or fair-play work without naming the software or method, the accurate table label is “not publicly named in the checked source,” with a link to that source.
We do not fill gaps with a forum guess or an older article's unsupported claim. A publisher may also choose not to reveal every part of its approach. That is why a row can name one documented component while its note says the complete protection stack is unspecified.

Check the publisher's current policy
Each game's official source link is the place to check for a newer statement. Game updates, tests and revised support guidance can change what a source establishes. The September 29, 2026 column records this table's review date, so a later publisher notice should take priority over an older row.
Behaviour's Dead by Daylight documents describe two separate 2026 events: a July EAC error advisory and an August FAQ about a Denuvo test and its planned removal. They do not establish the game's complete current configuration, so Dead by Daylight stays out of the named-system table.
Frequently asked questions
Does Arena Breakout: Infinite have anti-cheat?
Yes. The developer-controlled Steam listing names Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) for the listed PC edition. It also labels the anti-cheat as kernel level. The listing does not inventory any additional measures.
Does ARC Raiders use only Easy Anti-Cheat?
Embark's FAQ does not present a single-product stack. It references EAC and Denuvo and says Embark also uses in-house solutions, outside partners and other detection methods. The publisher does not identify every component or its platform split there.
Does Counter-Strike 2 use VAC?
Yes. Valve's Steam listing for Counter-Strike 2 names VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) under anti-cheat software. The listing does not claim to inventory every possible service around the game.
Why can an anti-cheat entry change?
A publisher can update a game's protection or explain a test differently in later support material. Each table row therefore has a check date and source link. Recheck the publisher page if you need the most current policy before making a platform-specific decision.
