EA Javelin Anticheat Download: Official Installation and Battlefield 6 Requirements

EA Javelin Anticheat is Electronic Arts' PC anti-cheat for supported games. EA says it installs automatically and offers a manual installer through EA Help for troubleshooting. Battlefield 6 requires Javelin on PC. By September 2026, EA had also documented Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 requirements for that game. This guide separates those requirements from EA's dated HVCI and VBS statements.

What EA Javelin Anticheat is

EA Javelin Anticheat is the name EA introduced in April 2025 for the evolution of its existing PC anti-cheat. EA dates that underlying system's initial launch to 2022. The name does not mean every EA title uses it: EA Help tells readers to check the particular game in the EA app.

CheatsMatch's anti-cheat directory collects system entries in one place. This page keeps Javelin's installation, named games and PC requirements tied to EA's own statements.

How Javelin installs and where EA's manual route lives

EA Javelin Anticheat installs automatically when a game that uses it is installed, according to EA Help. The same Help article offers a manual installer when a player is troubleshooting or reinstalling. Its instructions identify the game in the installer. Use EA's current Help page for that route and for any updated steps; this page does not distribute an installer file.

EA Help states that Javelin requires Windows 10 version 20H1, build 10.0.19041, or newer. That is Javelin's stated Windows minimum, not a complete system-requirements list for every protected game. If a protected game fails to launch, first identify the exact error on EA's Help page rather than assuming the installer is the cause.

The separate Battlefield 6 game page has its own listing scope. EA's Help page, rather than a game listing, is the source for Javelin installation and Windows requirements.

Which games EA identifies

EA Javelin Anticheat is required for Battlefield 6 on PC, EA Help states. EA's April 2025 progress report describes Javelin features rolled out to Battlefield 2042, without establishing that the two games use identical configurations. These are two game relationships supported by game-specific EA wording. EA's wider franchise list in its branding announcement is not a title-by-title deployment list.

The Battlefield 2042 page has a separate game scope. EA's Battlefield 2042 statement does not establish requirements for every game in the franchise.

Battlefield 6 PC requirements

Battlefield 6 requires Javelin on PC, and EA's August 2025 Battlefield notice says Secure Boot is required for PC play. EA later reported that TPM 2.0 enforcement was live as of August 31, 2026. Those are separate statements. EA's August 28, 2026 Season 4 notice said HVCI and VBS were requirements on paper but had not yet been enforced at that date; it did not settle how or whether those features would be enforced later.

The HVCI/VBS row records what EA said on August 28, 2026. Check newer EA updates for a later enforcement decision. EA's September 10 Javelin update mentions Battlefield 6's TPM 2.0 requirements but does not replace game-specific support guidance. The separate Secure Boot guide owns the device-checking question; this page explains why the feature appears in the game's dated requirement record.

The Battlefield 6 aimbot route is a product listing. EA's anti-cheat requirements come from EA's own notices; a product listing does not establish them.

Kernel operation and scope

EA Javelin Anticheat operates at kernel level, EA Security says. EA's 2025 progress report and September 2026 update say Javelin runs only while a protected game is running and that its processes shut down with the game. These are EA's descriptions of its own system, not an independent inspection of its behavior.

EA also says Javelin uninstalls after all EA games with Javelin protection are removed. The practical consequence for a player who needs a supported game is set out on EA Help: removing Javelin makes that game unavailable until Javelin is reinstalled. Neither statement establishes that every game or device has identical setup details.

Where to resolve installation and launch errors

EA Javelin Anticheat error guidance is collected on EA Help's installation and troubleshooting page. EA lists separate entries for installer errors, incompatible software, unsupported Windows versions and launch failures. For example, Error #41 is associated there with certain Windows 11 Insider Preview builds; Error #701 has a different explanation. An error number matters, so the relevant EA entry is the starting point.

Some entries involve Windows settings or administrator actions. Those actions should follow EA's current instructions and the device maker's guidance, not a generalized fix copied from another error. EA Help also provides a customer support route if its documented steps do not resolve the issue. This page has not run the installer or reproduced an error.

Updates and requirement changes

EA introduced the Javelin brand on April 24, 2025. In August 2026, its Battlefield 6 Season 4 notice announced stricter TPM enforcement and explicitly said HVCI/VBS enforcement was still undecided. EA's September 4 follow-up placed TPM 2.0 enforcement live from August 31. Its September 10 Javelin update described further protected titles and support changes. These dates explain why an older support answer can differ from a newer one.

EA also revised its Match Infection Rate definition in the Season 4 notice to reduce repeated reports against players it had manually cleared. That change makes simple before-and-after percentage comparisons misleading. This page therefore uses EA's updates to date requirement statements, not to claim a measured detection rate or rank Javelin against another system.
