XIGNCODE3: What It Is and Black Desert's Regional Changes

XIGNCODE3 is Wellbia's PC game security product. Wellbia describes client protection features, but its partner list does not name current game deployments. Black Desert notices show why dates matter: South America and Korea announced XIGNCODE3 changes in 2024; Taiwan announced a switch away in 2021, then named a Xigncode update in September 2026. The newer notice does not specify the product version.

What XIGNCODE3 is

XIGNCODE3 is a PC game security product from Wellbia. Wellbia's product page lists tools for detecting unauthorized programs, protecting game resources, managing ban lists and giving game operators monitoring data. These are features the vendor offers. The page does not independently demonstrate detection accuracy, safety, or the exact setup used in any one game.

The CheatsMatch anti-cheat directory includes XIGNCODE3 as a named system. This page ties vendor claims to publisher notices where a game is named. That distinction helps readers avoid treating a vendor's partner list, a player's error report or an old announcement as a live, global game catalogue.

What Wellbia's product page establishes

Wellbia's product page describes updates, logs and operator reports alongside its feature menu. It gives an aggregate claim about game coverage without naming those titles, dates or regions. It is therefore not a current title-by-title register. Wellbia also says it can customize features. The menu does not establish identical integrations across publishers.

Wellbia's partners page lists organizations. It does not connect each logo to a named game, platform, version or active XIGNCODE3 integration. Even a genuine commercial relationship cannot by itself answer whether a particular game currently loads this product. The game evidence below comes from Black Desert's own regional notices instead.

What Black Desert announced by region

Black Desert's South America service announced on January 14, 2024 that it would implement an updated XIGNCODE3 module on January 15. The Korea service announced on January 9 that an upgraded module was scheduled for its January 10 maintenance. Those are publisher statements about two specific regional services and planned changes at that time.

Black Desert Taiwan had announced a different direction in February 2021: its notice showed XIGNCODE3 as the previous product and Easy Anti-Cheat as the replacement. A newer Taiwan notice dated September 28, 2026 is titled a Black Desert Xigncode update and says the security module's compatibility was improved. It does not name the XIGNCODE3 version. The 2021 replacement cannot be treated as Taiwan's current status.

The separate Easy Anti-Cheat page explains the replacement product named by the Taiwan notice; the notice does not imply that every Black Desert region made the same change.

What this evidence shows about game use

The table records the cited publisher announcements. South America's and Korea's notices support 2024 adoption plans. Taiwan's 2021 notice supports a replacement at that time; its September 2026 notice names a Xigncode update, without the version number. None is a direct inspection of the installed game client. A South America security-module update in September 2026 does not name its product.

What the driver and runtime statements mean

Wellbia's FAQ names `xhunter1.sys` as a driver file in a question about remnants after uninstalling a game client. That is a vendor reference to a file, not a verified inventory of every game's current components, permissions or load schedule. The FAQ also describes categories of information in a user-provided `xigncode.log`; those categories should not become an unsupported claim about all routine collection.

The 2024 Black Desert South America and Korea notices describe their updated module as operating from game launch and ending with the game. Those are publisher descriptions of their regional implementations at that date. Neither notice establishes the runtime of every XIGNCODE3 integration. This article makes no independent privacy, performance or rootkit judgment.

The kernel-level anti-cheat guide explains Windows access categories. Wellbia's filename reference alone does not show that every XIGNCODE3 deployment uses kernel access.

How to check a game claim

A useful game claim names the publisher, regional service, platform and announcement date. It then states whether the source announces an addition, a replacement or a current requirement. A general vendor page or partner logo cannot supply those missing details. Community reports can raise questions but do not replace an official publisher notice.

For Black Desert, check the notice for the region you play. A South America announcement does not prove Taiwan's configuration, and a Taiwan replacement notice does not disprove Korea's earlier plan. The September 2026 Taiwan update shows why a newer publisher notice must be read before repeating an older status.

Updates and limits

Wellbia's product and FAQ pages and the Black Desert notices were checked September 30, 2026. The vendor page gives no game-level change log. The South America and Korea notices are dated 2024. Taiwan's 2021 replacement notice is superseded for a current-status question by its September 2026 Xigncode update, whose product version remains unspecified. South America's newer security-module note does not name a product.

Recheck any named game's current use against a directly readable, publisher-controlled statement for that region and platform. Add new game rows only with the source, date and supported status. The evidence here establishes product identity and bounded Black Desert history, not a complete active-game count.

Frequently asked questions

What is XIGNCODE3?

XIGNCODE3 is Wellbia's PC game security product. Wellbia describes game-client monitoring, resource protection and operator reporting features. A game publisher determines its own implementation.

Does Black Desert use XIGNCODE3?

Black Desert's South America and Korea services announced updated XIGNCODE3 modules in January 2024. Taiwan announced a switch to Easy Anti-Cheat in 2021, then published a Xigncode update in September 2026 without specifying the version. The dated notices do not establish one global configuration.

Is XIGNCODE3 a kernel driver?

Wellbia's FAQ names a driver file, `xhunter1.sys`, in an uninstall question. That narrow fact does not establish the privileges or current configuration of every game's integration.

Does XIGNCODE3 keep running after a game closes?

Black Desert's South America and Korea notices said their updated 2024 modules would close with their game. Those dated regional statements do not prove every XIGNCODE3 integration behaves the same way.
